WHAT IS PERCHPEEK?

Have you ever relocated before? Did you manage to do it without eye rolling or swearing? Or if you haven’t ever relocated, how do you feel about the prospect of figuring it all out on your own? Finding a place to stay, shipping your stuff, organising utilities and new bank accounts…the list of things to organise goes on and on. No matter where in the world you go, relocating is a complicated and messy process. PerchPeek was conceived to change that.

Our aim is to guide people through every stage of their relocation. Our product is a delightful combination of tech, relocation coaching, content & partnerships which work together to remove the stress and make moving simpler and faster.

THE ROLE

Our tech product includes:

1. An amazing Customer App (web & mobile - available on iOS and Android) used by relocators.

2. Operations Platform:  logistics platform used by our Relocator Experience team to manage our users’ relocations.

3. B2B Enterprise Platform: Designed for Global Mobility Managers to manage relocations.

We are looking for a full stack developer with a deep knowledge of Laravel and how it can be used to efficiently deliver features. An ideal candidate should also have a solid understanding of ReactJS and be willing to further upskill in frontend development.

Key Responsibilities

• Advanced Feature Development: Enhance and maintain complex features in our Laravel platform to improve functionality and user experience.
• Code Quality: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices.
• API Leadership: Design and develop high-performance, scalable APIs.
• Quality Control: Ensure backend systems' quality and performance.
• Full-Stack Skills: Implement basic frontend features using ReactJS.
• Optimized Development Processes: Ensure fast delivery and regular releases.
• Team Collaboration: Meaningfully contribute to a progressive engineering team.

Qualifications 

In this role, the below prior experience or qualities are necessary:

• At least 5 years of proven commercial experience as a Senior Laravel/PHP developer 
• At least 1 years of experience with ReactJS
• At least 1 years of experience with TypeScript
• Testing experience using Pest
• CI/CD experience using GitHub Workflows
• OOP Skills: Strong understanding and application.
• Design Patterns: Knowledge and implementation experience.
• Version Control: Proficient in GIT.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
• Highly attentive with a very keen eye for detail.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems.

In this role, the below prior experience or qualities are highly desirable:

• Ownership and Self-Management: Demonstrates strong self-management and ownership of tasks.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, able to simplify complex concepts.
• Autonomy and Teamwork: Comfortable working independently and driving projects forward, while also being a collaborative team player.

BENEFITS

Salary

As a globally diverse team, PerchPeek takes a market-localised approach to compensation to ensure Perchies are compensated fairly for their location. The salary for the role will be based on your tax-registered location and previous experience. We’ll be happy to discuss this during the interview process.

For this role, we are using a compensation range of £60-65k gross annual salary for the United Kingdom, and a £50-60k gross annual salary range for the rest of Europe.
